Old Faithful

Hard to tell the steam from the clouds. It takes 90 minutes between eruptions.

Crowd’s been waiting for a while.

There it goes!

Its about over.

DSC_1656

Only lasted about a minute and a half.

DSC_1657

The minute it was over the crowd pours to the parking lot.

When it was done, I heard a 20 something say “is that all there is?” “Man that ain’t nothin!” Evidently not as spectacular as the TV series or the movies!

But I liked it enough to take at least twice as many pictures as presented here!

  1. Good to see Old Faithful again. Luckily when we were there in May of 92 there were only half a dozen other people. I like when that happens:))

  3. Glad to see Old Faithful is still chugging away. I don't know how anyone couldn't come away from that scene and not be impressed - it was the highlight of our trip to Yellowstone.

  4. Good Morning Rod... Got your blog site from Rick & Pauline... I have added you to my favorites. We are full timers and love it. Come on over to visit me. We went to Yellowstone last year and it is magnificent. It was our second time there in our lifetime and I could never tire off it. Spent a week there!
