Quilt chauffeur... yet again

Nothing new here tonight, as I spent the center part of the day as quilt show chauffeur..  We didn't even know about this show in downtown Mesa until the other day when the quilters/bloggers had their luncheon...

I tried the other day to show Loyce where the convention hall was, but she felt best if I just took her there...  She likes that I will drop her off right at the main entrance, and then go park somewhere...

She was done before I planned, and when she called I was out buzzing around over on I 10 South of Ikea...  Had to high tail it back to central Mesa in heavy traffic...

We changed it up for a burger joint, this afternoon stopping at What a Burger over in the older part of town..  Since we were already there, it didn't run us out of the way anywhere..

But we both agreed that the burger didn't hold a candle to Fuddruckers... They drown the sandwich in mustard, which is an acquired taste...  I am out of practice...

Otherwise I planted one bush early this morning, before Loyce was ready to go quilting, and late in the afternoon  I managed to ride the bike up to Wal Mart for a few provisions....  It was more about the ride than the groceries...

I did manage to cut my thumb rather nastily tonight while making some supper...  I'd explain, but don't want to make you cringe..  But tonight I am typing with less than all fingers... I usually do the space bar with my right thumb...  but it is out of commission.....

  1. Hope your thumb heals quickly. Whenever I cut a finger, I then realize how much I use it.

  2. Hey Rod, us guys should only go into the kitchen to eat, never to cook!

Glad to hear your chaufeurring duties weren't too onerous - I'm taking over from you for today as we're off to San Diego!!
