Another tenderloin............

You know the drill!!!!!  A place called PT's  That I later learned stood for Perfect Tenderloin...  This is off of I 70 in Oak Grove, Missouri...

The only change in the routine was that we had to drive Al's car out there because is was raining cats and dogs...  And they did it with mashed potatoes and gravy served open face as well, but I didn't take a picture of that one...

The onion rings were about 2 inches wide, but I didn't order them either...

  1. That is one big Tenderloin, Rod. Is that some kind of what they call "chicken fried steak"? I'd eat that for sure even though it would boost my cholesterol level through the roof of my head.

  2. That looks yummy. I think I'd like the mashed potatos and gravy, plus the onion rings. Now where can I find all that in Sacramento?

  3. This is a pork tenderloin..... its pork loin meat that is pounded out flat and big around and then battered and deep fried.... These have been quite popular in the midwest for as many years as I can remember.... But I have never found one out West for some reason.... I did find them in the Iowa Cafe in Mesa, but no where else West of the Rockies....

  4. Well at least the Iowa Cafe will help you with your tenderloin withdrawal when you come back to AZ. I love pork chop sandwiches which are kind of the same thing and hope to have a couple while we're in Montana this summer.
