Weather Bound

During the night it began to rain....  and rain.....  and even rain in the morning....  But about noon it kind of cleared up and the sun came out.

Oh boy, I might get a cool bike ride in.....!!!!  Ya right, one look at the radar screen on the computer put the big kabosh on that idea....  we were in between lines of the storm..  And in not too many minutes the next row of storms was upon us..

The sky turned almost black and the wind knocked over the remaining pots with the unplanted bushes in the back yard...  The rain came down horizontal..   It was sucking our garage door in and out like a giant plunger...

Rain water ran under the door and into the garage...  Thank goodness I hadn't gone out on the bike...  It was barely 50 anyway so wet and windy and barely 50 would have been disaster....

So we had one of those inside days... reading computers and watching TV...  Until I couldn't stand it and went over for that small Wendy's burger....  no fries....!  But I did get the little senior diet coke that comes free....  I'll bet they just love to see me coming...  Cheap!!!

But on the way back here I saw a palo verde tree that had been uprooted and blown completely over...  Only about a couple of blocks away...

Then our weather man here in Phoenix was talking about a wall cloud  and how they had to abruptly land the weather chopper....  For those that haven't studied the weather, wall clouds are what cause the beginnings of tornadoes...

So some of my fellow bloggers are worried about the Midwest in April, but perhaps we need to be just as worried about Arizona in March....

Its still raining as I type this late Friday night....

  2. What a nasty weather day. It's sunny over here in Palm Springs this morning, I'll see what I can do to send some of it over to Arizona! Looks like you may be in for some hot weather next week - I hope so.

  3. that was just crazy weather yesterday. It was blowing stuff around all over the place here at Dog Pound South. Meggie even had to chase her bed across the yard but she caught it and tried to bring it back to the deck but the winds were to strong and she finally gave up. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

    Take Care.
