Kansas is in the Championship Game!

Its 10:30 here in Kansas, and the fireworks are booming all over the neighborhood!!!!   While the neighbors went about their normal business all day here mowing the lawns and washing the cars, there was a sense of tension in the air.

Almost in every household out here in the suburbs, one of the family members is a J Hawk and with a collective sigh of relief, the  J Hawks are into the NCAA championship game against Kentucky.  If you saw the game you will know that Kansas trailed several times at 13 points down and trailed the entire game.

In the second half, they rallied and pulled even a couple of times only to have Ohio go up again by 5 with only a couple of minutes left.  But then there seemed to be a lid on the Ohio basket because their shots didn't fall.

There goes some more aerial bombs...... I think the Kansas folks are happy!

The TV just showed the students going crazy in downtown Lawrence.  The streets are filled with kids celebrating.........   But remember there is one more game, and Kentucky is one heck of an opponent!!!

  1. Congrats to your Kansas team. Not being a basketball fan I don't really follow all this but I did see where Ohio lost to Kansas. Hope they don't celebrate too hard. Don't want anybody hurt.

  2. It was a great game and nice to see Kansas pull it out. Should be a real barn burner on Monday night.
