We have fallen into a rut of a routine here as the sunny days begin to outnumber the nasty ones.... Breakfast in the morning while we either sit in the sunny southern rooms of the house or out on the patio...
Then morning computer sessions and then clean up for mid day outings... Today we were waiting for the morning delivery from UPS of my medical supplies... They shouldn't sit out in the sun for very long as they have adhesive parts and the heat messes them up...
But as we were deciding where to go, suddenly we recalled a February day back in 2009 when we were leaving our vacation trailer, for an unfortunate afternoon sight seeing trip...
We ended up rolling the car in the desert down South of Maricopa..
Every year we have remembered this anniversary on its precise day, but this year we managed to go over the date and not remember... It was on February 2, 2009... I blogged about the accident when we got back to the RV that night without our car... And the next day posted pictures..
But after 4 years you can still see the scars on my knee where I crawled out of the car in the broken glass..... I also had a broken rib but didn't figure that out for another day or so when the pain just got worse instead of better....
So every year we kind of watch our travel steps along these days.. So today we stayed in town, but took the car over into Phoenix... It was about 40 miles over to one of Loyce's favorite shops, Quiltz up in North Phoenix.. We drove on the interstate most of the way as this shop it just off of US 51 a limited access freeway...
She has been searching for specific fabrics for a quilt she has planned and as we have visited many different quilt shops, she was successful today in finding three more colors in the scheme of the pattern... Mostly the fabrics are out of production now so it is a real hunt to find bolts still remaining in various stores...
It was late in the afternoon as we made our way back thru downtown Scottsdale on the main street... Scottsdale Blvd.. The traffic was a zoo, but we enjoy going thru that area every once in a while.. Too expensive for us to live there, but rather only visit occasionally .
It was almost dark when we got back home, but at least the car was in tact unlike four years ago...
Nothing too exciting but it keeps us busy...

I rolled my car over when I lived in Ireland, facing a blinding setting sun. It was like slow motion, and when I released my seat belt I dropped and bumped my head on the roof of the car. I came out ok but the car was trashed. I think a broken rib is one of the most painful injuries.
