Listening to the weather forecast....

I was just out listening to the radio on the Goldwing in the garage..  Seems that it is the most convenient way to get the weather radio here in our Arizona residence...  We have a couple of ham radios but no 12 volt power supplies..  Also we do not have an  outside antenna for the two meter radios...  What kind of ham am I .....?

But the bike has the weather band built right into the on board radio...  Tonight snow down to 2500 feet... and freezing or there about temperatures..  And that's for the next four nights...  Yuck!

Last night right after I went to bed, we had high winds and rain. I didn't even notice it as I was out like a light...  We put extra insulation in this house when we built it, thinking of the hot summer sun, but it also has the effect of blocking out outside noise...  It takes a really nasty event before we hear it inside...

It did snow to our North, as Al up in Congress reports tonight on his blog..  So while we didn't get three feet of snow like Connecticut, we aren't immune to winter weather either...

Today we saw about 55 degrees here during the afternoon, but it was totally overcast with heavy dark clouds... They were wind driven at altitude which convinced me rather quickly that motor cycle riding was out of the question...

So we had an inside day with the computers and the TVs...  And that's OK because yesterday was outside all day long...

But the problem is that this is forecast for the next four days.......!  We are still paying for the really nice weather we had all fall.......!

  1. Sure was cold, rainy and windy in the McDowell Mountains, think we picked the wrong weekend to go camping. :(

  2. All's quiet with clear blue skies here in Palm Springs this morning. Hope this stuff is heading your way. It's still cooler than normal just like your weather but it still beats the rain back home during winter.

  3. Right now all I yearn for here in central Pennsylvania is some sunshine and warmth.
