Reader helps me out!!!

Jessica is right!  The Big reverse orange "B" is clickable and does return you to the top page that doesn't have any menu on it...     What I call the Reader Page..........

Also I messed with it again last night into the wee hours and discovered that the Orange wording "My Blogs"  is also clickable and will return you to the top menu page as well.  But this top page does not have the menu on it........  You have to click the little down arrow over on the right side of the top page.

If you hover over the button with you mouse, you will find that the description "More Options" will appear.

I know that this is meant to give us the really clean page appearance but they have taken it to the extreme where it becomes difficult to figure it out........     JMHO  but my opinion counts in my world.  LOL

  1. Hang in there, Rod. It will get easier as time goes on. I've used it for so long I've forgotten what the old format even looks like.

  2. Not everyone is interested in an antiseptically clean page, and I don't know why they insist on forcing it.

  3. The real reason for this change, as uncomfortable as it is for us bloggers, is to bring blgger in line with other Google applications both in look and feel.

Let's face it, the old dashboard does have a bit of an 'early A&W orange' look to it that really clashed with Gmail, Google+, Chrome and all other flagship applications. Standardization across all platforms is how Google puts it.

I'm not defending their decision, just explaining their rationale. Standardization decreases their costs, enhances future upgrade issues and, in Google's opinion, the new format is more attractive and superior to the old.

I've grown accustomed to it now, know where to find most things and for the most part have forgotten about the old format - except, of course, for the few pieces of the puzzle that were in the old format but for some reason are inexplicably absent from the new.

If I had to use just one word to describe this new format it would be 'interesting'. I know that many would prefer Rod's description - 'Dung'!!
